What a big day!!!

First and foremost... I want to congratulate the entire Sims family. VERY late last night Clara Sims was born to Jay and Jamie Sims!!!! We are so happy she is here after a very long labor!! We will get to see her at Christmas and hopefully there will be wonderful pictures up very soon!!!! We love you Clara :)

Last night was the Fall Fundraiser at our JCC. It was a fantastic evening :) I was one of the chairs of the entertainment committee and worked most of Saturday on set up and Saylor was one of major role players in setting up the event (he was there for over 5 hours on Friday and 4 hours on Saturday before the event!) so for both of us it felt nice to see it all come together. Saylor played in our poker tournament - it was about 15 people to start with at 4 different tables. They played and moved around tables until everyone was at the same table. I kept peeking in, but was afraid to go in!! One of our friends (who left the tournament early on) would come out and give me reports... "he's one of the top three!", "only down to two in there!" then finally I peeked over and saw a bunch of people coming out of the tournament room and everyone was yelling at me "he won!!!!!!!" My husband, the poker CHAMPION!!!! BTW, here is the list of prizes for the tournament:

3rd prize - bottle of Penfolds Shiraz
2nd prize - $250 gift card to Mortons Steakhouse
1st prize - $500 gift card to Mortons Steakhouse

Today we are off running errands, getting ready for Halloween and New York City. Someone want to turn off the wind machine before we get there?

We are going to eat steak.
