Italy Trip

Hi all! Saylor and I have been having a fabuloso time here in Italy. The trip to Milan was good, it is a big city and we were adjusting to the time, so not having tons to do was fine by us! We did get to see the Last Supper which is probably one of the top awe inspiring things I've ever seen. We saw the Mona Lisa a few years ago, waiting in line for while, finally getting to the room only to see it is a small painting. With the Last Supper you stand in two chambers (because of the level of humidity in the room) and when you walk in to the room, it is amazing.. the entire wall. You walk in and lose your breath. Loved it!!! Here are a few pictures (sorry, not of the Last Supper!):

Venice ... clearly the BEST city I've been to in awhile. It was amazing, our hotel was in a fabulous location. Off the beaten path, so quiet but with in two left turns and a bridge from shops, restaurants, lots of people! We had so much fun getting lost and finding new areas to explore! We had a great tour, got attacked by pigeons (ok, that wasn't fun), bought beautiful Murano glass, had some fabulous meals, took a gondola ride and learned to appreciate life without cars. So much so that when we arrived here in Florence we had a little shock with all the cars and not being able to walk in the middle of the road! Ha.

Here are some pictures of Venice. We took soooo many and will post them on our website when we arrive home.

On our gondola ride (yes, you will see eventually that we took several pictures of ourselves like this)

Walking along one of the smaller canals... Saylor found the timer on the camera and would stop, set a camera up on a random ledge or window and take a picture. On this particular one a man named Enzo nearly walked in front of us until his friends yelled his names several times to make him stop (ENZO!!!!)

More pictures soon! We miss you all!!!
